Elon Musk has reportedly welcomed his 14th child, marking his fourth with Shivon Zilis, a top executive at Neuralink. The announcement came directly from Zilis via X, the platform owned by Musk, where she revealed the arrival of their son, Seldon Lycurgus.

A Name with Meaning?

As with many of Musk’s children, the name Seldon Lycurgus carries a distinct and possibly symbolic weight. Hari Seldon, a character from Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series, was a mathematician who developed psychohistory, a theory predicting the future of civilizations.

Meanwhile, Lycurgus references the legendary Spartan lawmaker. Given Musk’s deep interest in AI, space, and the future of humanity, it’s likely this choice reflects his vision.

Expanding the Musk-Zilis Family

This birth confirms a previously unannounced child between Musk and Zilis. Back in June 2024, reports surfaced that the pair had secretly welcomed a third child together earlier that year. Zilis’ latest post also disclosed the name of that child—Arcadia—for the first time.

Musk and Zilis’ known children together now include:

  • Twins Strider and Azure (born in November 2021)
  • Arcadia (born in early 2024)
  • Seldon Lycurgus (born in 2025)

Musk’s Stance on Birth Rates

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO has long been outspoken about declining global birth rates, urging people to have more children to prevent what he calls a civilizational collapse. His growing family is a clear reflection of his beliefs.

In response to reports about his growing number of children, Musk previously stated:

“As for ‘secretly fathered,’ that is … false. All our friends and family know. Failure to issue a press release, which would be bizarre, does not mean ‘secret.’”

Legal Troubles on the Horizon?

While Musk celebrates the arrival of Seldon Lycurgus, controversy looms. Ashley St. Clair, a conservative activist, recently filed a paternity lawsuit against him, claiming that he fathered her 5-month-old son and asking for sole custody. If true, this would increase Musk’s total number of children to 15.

The lawsuit includes alleged text messages from Musk, one stating:

“I want to knock you up again.”

Despite these claims, Musk has yet to publicly confirm or deny his connection to St. Clair’s child.

A Growing Dynasty

Musk now has children with three different women:

  • Six children with ex-wife Justine Wilson
  • Three children with Grimes (including daughter Exa Dark Sideræl)
  • Four children with Shivon Zilis

As Musk’s empire expands across Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, and X, his personal life is just as eventful. With his passion for the future, it seems his own next generation is growing just as rapidly.

  1. It seems like most of the biblical patriarchs has multiple wives, concubines, etc. Abraham had 3, Moses had 2, David had many, Solomon had hundreds, etc. monogamy, one man one wife was a new testament contrivance. God set the rules for multiple wives in the old testament. Our modern society is the problem. Man aren’t avoiding marriage. They are avoiding divorce. Women marry for a lifestyle. If they can get that without marriage, many are happy to participate. And why would Elon be stupid enough to marry? He can practice polygamy, have and support kids and the women, they know the process, he’s rarely around, forget exclusivity, but they are well taken care of. Besides, Elon doesn’t claim to be a practicing Christian.
