NASA has successfully integrated an advanced coronagraph onto the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, bringing it closer to its 2027 launch. This milestone marks a leap in exoplanet research, as the coronagraph will allow astronomers to directly observe planets beyond our solar system by blocking out the glare from distant stars. Developed in collaboration with partners including JPL and ESA, the Roman Coronagraph Instrument serves as a technology demonstration, paving the way for future missions that aim to find Earth-like, potentially habitable worlds.
