The magic happens when the dogs are presented with breath samples from cancer patients. Trained to recognize the faint but distinct odors associated with the four types, the dogs respond by sitting when they detect cancer.

While this response might seem straightforward, interpreting the dogs’ signals accurately can be tricky. This is where AI steps in. SpotitEarly’s AI model uses machine learning and computer vision to analyze the dogs’ behavior, ensuring the results are reliable and consistent.

In this study, involving nearly 1,400 participants, the AI-enhanced dogs achieved a remarkable 94% accuracy rate in detecting the disease. Of the 261 participants who had it, the system successfully identified 245 cases.
