Image of the Day: ISS Passing the Moon with Astronauts and Cosmonauts of the Expedition 30 Crew Onboard.

On Wednesday, January 4, the International Space Station passed right over the city of Houston which gave Lauren Harnett, a photographer at the Johnson Space Center, a great photographic opportunity to take photos of the ISS passing overhead with the Moon as a stunning backdrop. The ISS is currently orbiting roughly 243 miles above the Earth at average distance between the Earth and the Moon of 238,857 miles.
